Space Coast Marathon
Space Coast Marathon – November 30, 2025 This race was amazing! The location and route were beautiful. The start time was perfect — almost an hour before sunrise. Support along the course was great, with lots of water and Gatorade stops. And since it’s in a neighborhood, people came out with goodies too. Week 26
Sunday- Got up early and out for a 7-mile run this morning. I got to say everything feels good. The run went well. I did wear my knee band because my knee was hurting a bit while sleeping. But wow, the run itself was so good!The marathon is a week from today. I'm super excited and nervous. Week 25
Sunday- I had 6 miles on the schedule today. My favorite distance to run! It’s just far enough to be out for a while without having to bring lots of stuff (well, for me anyway). I started at about 7:00 am; the weather was so nice out. It took about 3 miles to really start feeling good though. That’s a long warm-up. Week 24
Sunday- I got up today and did a 3-mile walk. I needed to move after those 23 miles yesterday. My body was sore and tight. Honestly, I just wanted to lay there and cry, but I knew the moving would help more than anything else. Started walking at 6:00 am to watch the sunrise. The weather was amazing. Week 23
Week 23 – Learning to Trust My Body Again Sunday Took a two-mile walk around our neighborhood today. Mostly just to enjoy the cooler weather we were finally having. Monday I ran for 30 minutes this morning. The run itself wasn’t bad, though I definitely wanted to stop and walk a few times. I didn’t — I ran the whole time at about a 12-minute pace.
